[zfs-devel] Access compressed data directly?

As webdeveloper I try to treat R in CRUD as static html. Up to now I
have used inotify to prezip files to take the load off Nginx and get
better throughput. Is there a chance something like zfs send -c can
happen to the file system?

Perhaps an option

	compressdir=hidden|visible

giving a read-only .zfs/compressed representation of the filesystem
where compressed files get an extension. It should play well with the
Nginx try_files directive I think.

Existing, planned, possible or no-go? Every nanojoule is a
CO2-equivalent :-)
