sooo close... removed the fstab file
the laptop boots into zfs now but tosses a
General error mounting filesystems
A maintenance shell will now be started
CONTROL-D will terminate the shell and reboot
Give root password for maintenance
or type Control-D to continue

if i enter the root passwd
it drops me to a shell
and mount shows the zpool is mounted on /

what am i missing?
