With respect, doing both these things has not solved the problem on our systems (only reduced the frequency of occurance), as I reported a little over a week ago. I think that may be where Matthew is coming from.

Please don't thread-ride.  As for the bug, you need to limit your zfs_arc_max to less than half the RAM on your system to solve this problem, or update to the latest master HEAD and use that.
