[zfs-discuss] Filesystems disappearing while pool is still mounted

Have you turned on automount in /etc/default/zfs?

In /etc/default/zfs:

# Automatically run `zfs mount -a` at system start. Disabled by default.
ZFS_MOUNT='yes'
ZFS_UNMOUNT='yes'
